Summary
How to create a good title. I discuss why it is essential to select a good title for your piece or book.

The First Impression

The title is a very crucial piece of information that matter. Don’t think it’s a few words and that you may put anything. If you don’t care and decide to put just a random title, you may soon regret it.

The first thing to know is that the title is the most important thing. These few words are the most important words of the whole book. It’s the first impression that someone gets. When looking at your book.

You want to make them think the right things. You don’t want them to think your book not worth the time, because they will not read it. You really want to lead them down a good road so they know your book is good.

Think of something creative and something that will attract the readers to read your piece. Make them wonder and think. Make them curious and want to know more.

Relate it to the book in some way. Perhaps summarize a concept in a few words. Maybe pull out the best plot idea you have and show them. Maybe pick out the best phrase in your story to use.

You don’t want to use something Random especially if it has absolutely nothing to do with the piece. While it can be a little funny, it can also be annoying. Also, It may attract attention, but it also may disappoint. Readers are usually looking at titles as good indicators. They actually want a good book on the topic related to the title.

However, the most important thing to remember is to interest people. So, it is definitely not a good idea to have a plain straightforward title such as The Essay.
